E-Bay is an American Internet Company that run Ebay.com, an internet base auction and shopping website in a variety of businesses like buy and sell, a broad range of goods and services worldwide.
In addition to its original American website, eBay has created localized websites in other countries. Aside from it eBay Inc. also owns PayPal, Kijiji, and other businesses.
In terms of its origin and history, the internet base auction website was established as Auction Web in California on the 3rd of September of 1995. It was founded by French-born Iranian programmer Pierre Omidyar.
The very first thing sold by this online acution was a broken laser pointer . This laser pointer was sold in an amount of $14.83. As a surprise, Pierre Omidyar called the winning bidder to question him if he was aware that the laser pointer was broken. In his respond to the email, the buyer simply explained that he is a collector of broken laser pointers. At that point E-bay Company started to grow and was recognized by many.
In terms of the staff of the company, Chris Agarpao was employed as eBay's first employee and the first hired president was Jeffrey Skoll in early 1996. As an individual who has friends working in Ebay, I also like to experience working in that company someday; the environment in Ebay as they said is very nice and they feel one big family in the office.
